TumbleStars Preschool

Gymnastics Program

Classes available to children walking to 5yrs old. The TumbleStars Program is designed with the active preschooler in mind.  With our "Little Ones" our goal is to have FUN!  The Program features gymnastics as the ideal foundation from which children can base all future movement.  Students learn Body Positions & Breakdown Skills that later incorporate into Gymnastics Skills.  Fun & fit movements & activities encourage their Physical Development (strength, flexibility, coordination & endurance), Cognitive Development (listening, verbalizing, memory & concentration), Social Development (sharing, caring & helping), & Emotional Development (self-esteem & confidence). Through music, props & games, children are able to express themselves creatively.

U & Me
This 45 minute class is designed for children walking to 3yrs old to enhance motor skill development, coordination & even exploration.  Parents assist their children & become part of the learning experience, which makes this class very comfortable for a first time school setting. While spending time with their children building self confidence & body awareness, parents can interact with other parents. This class gets little ones running, jumping & hopefully even to skip.

Preschool Gymnastics 2-5yrs old
These 45 & 50 minute classes are designed for the active preschooler to work on their independence. Students learn terminology & safety on all equipment, while learning the break down skills that prepare them for the next gymnastics level.

Level 1
This 1 hour class is for students that have mastered body positions & basic floor skills. This class teaches all the skills students need in order to successfully progress to programs in the Main Gym.  Students will have understanding of advanced preschool skills (handstands, cartwheels, pull overs, etc). Evaluation is needed for placement in this class.

Leah's Preschool Developmental Program is located in our TumbleStars Gym. Students are introduced to gymnastics apparatus & equipment designed perfectly for preschool size. All classes start with our Friendship Circle to say Hello & introduce new friends.  We take a few minutes to warmup & then get started with the lesson plan that provides new & exciting challenges each week.
Wondering whether to enroll your child in one of
Leah's Gymnastics Programs?
Learn the benefits of gymnastics & why this sport is worth a try.

Gymnastics is one of the most challenging sports for kids. It requires tremendous skill, concentration, strength, and perseverance, plus it has a potential for injury. So why bother getting a child to participate? Truth is, for many children, the benefits of gymnastics far outweigh the risks.

In fact, there are a number of good reasons to enroll in a gymnastics program. Although every child is different, all children like to have fun – and that’s reason enough to try gymnastics. But parents will like these other benefits of gymnastics, too...

Gymnastics Promotes Fitness

Learning the sport of gymnastics is a good way for children to become physically fit. The fitness benefits kids can gain by participating in a gymnastics program include body and muscle strength, cardiovascular endurance, and agility. These fitness perks not only help kids stay healthy, they can be applied to other sports as well.

Gymnastics Programs Teach Discipline and Hard Work

Because gymnastics is one of the more difficult sports for kids, it requires dedication and a strong work ethic. Kids learn early on in the sport that they must listen to their trainers, work at perfecting their skills, and strive for success. Gymnastics programs teach the importance of discipline and hard work – and, ultimately, how they both pay off.

Gymnastics Classes Help Kids Overcome Fears

Along with the challenging nature of gymnastics comes the potential for fear. While it’s true that certain gymnastics events, like the balance beam and the high bar, can be scary for children, gymnastics classes help kids deal with and overcome fear through careful training and spotting, a gradual progression of skills, and a supportive environment.

Gymnastics for Kids Builds Self Confidence and Determination

As children learn new skills and tricks in gymnastics, they gain more confidence and more determination to build on those accomplishments. And a determined gymnast can learn to master even the most difficult skill. Even better, gymnastics is a sport that can help kids feel good about themselves in all aspects of their lives, including school and family life.

Other Benefits of Gymnastics

Gymnastics classes also help kids learn many other skills that will benefit them developmentally and in other sports and activities. Those skills include coordination, balance, flexibility, creativity, grace, leadership, socialization, and body awareness.

This sport is for girls & boys of all ages...another reason to give gymnastics a go!  With so much to gain, it's no surprise that gymnastics is more popular than ever!
